Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the leadership of projects that are cross functional and have a high degree of complexity. The Project Manager is fully knowledgeable of the Product Development Process and best practices of project management. The Project Manager may be responsible for multiple projects running concurrently. The Project Manager is responsible for mentoring and training other members of Program Management.
Accountabilities:
· Manage all phases of the project per the Product Development Process
· Deliver assigned projects on schedule aligned with the critical needs of the business unit
· Be proficient in all aspects, identifying, analyzing, tracking and monitoring, of the Project Management Body of Knowledge: Scope, Time, Risk, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communication, Procurement and Integration
· Construct the Work Breakdown Structure for the project
· Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project schedule
· Provide periodic status reports to management regarding the project
· Manage all relationships necessary for a successful project team
· Negotiate with first line managers for project resources
· Mentor members of the Program Management organization including PPAs and other Project Managers as well as project teams on project management techniques and methodologies.10. Conduct training classes in project management.
· Represent Program Management in cross-functional teams within the LexisNexis organization.
· Support and promote the benefits of the Product Development Process within the LexisNexis organization.
· Identify and make recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.

Qualifications
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
· Must have minimum of 3 years demonstrated project management experience in software development projects
· LexisNexis experience a plus
· PMI certification strongly preferred
· Software development methodology knowledge strongly preferred
· MS Project experience required
· Management of off-shore resources preferred.
